About Michelle

Michelle is a dedicated somatic practitioner with a deep commitment to body-based work and integrative care.

Guided by curiosity, relational presence, and a reverence for the intelligence woven through our tissues, stories, and nervous systems, her work centers the body as both archive and alchemist.

Background & Approach

With a B.S. in Sociology and Ethnic Studies (with a focus on Indigenous Studies), Michelle’s approach is shaped by a longstanding inquiry into social systems, cultural memory, and collective healing.

She honors the body as a site of knowing, restoration, and transformation—and holds the belief that repair happens through connection: slow, attuned, and often nonlinear.

Michelle draws from years of experience as a Yoga Teacher, Somatic Experiencing® Practitioner (SEP), and Myofascial Release® bodyworker.

Her continued studies include Internal Family Systems, Tao of Trauma, Biodynamic Cranial Sacral Therapy, NeuroAffective Touch, and Polyvagal Theory. She also serves as an assistant in the Somatic Experiencing® training program.

Somatic Guidance

As a somatic guide, Michelle gently supports the renegotiation of long-held patterns of stress and trauma—helping to build capacity for presence and resilience.

She offers an attuned space where each person’s story is honored, and where new pathways of renewal, integration, and reconnection can begin to emerge.

She weaves together her knowledge of cranial-sacral rhythms, myofascial networks, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) meridians to explore how the body holds and expresses emotional imprints and physical patterns.

Through attuned presence and subtle inquiry, she helps clients navigate the interplay between psyche and soma—supporting the emergence of more integrated and sustainable ways of being. Her sessions invite a deepening dialogue with the body—fostering a more compassionate relationship with one’s lived experience.

Creative & Integrative Approach

Michelle brings a creative, integrative approach to her work. As a former wardrobe stylist, she spent years collaborating with clients in the creative process—an artistry that now informs her somatic practice.

She views the body not merely as a vessel for experience, but as a living canvas through which we sense the world, uncover meaning, and find our way back to ourselves.

For Michelle, working with the body is an art of listening, honoring, and awakening healing from within.

She views somatic work as a shared journey and believes we are not meant to heal in isolation.

Relational Creativity & Attunement

Michelle brings her compassion, knowledge, and curiosity into every session, deeply valuing the teachings of her mentors, peers, clients, and the natural world. This relational creativity is the quiet heartbeat of her work.

She believes in the wisdom of the body and is committed to supporting individuals in cultivating a deeper sense of home within themselves.

Her own path led her to Somatic Experiencing® during a pivotal time of personal healing. She fell in love with how SE creates a spacious, embodied field where the body—not just the mind—can guide the process. It opened a doorway into places words alone cannot reach

Personal Insight & Lived Experience

Her most echoing credential is her lived experience as a mother, consciously navigating the complexity of being human in extraordinary times—times that beckon us to love more deeply as we learn to move, and be moved, by our grief and loss.

Michelle believes in the power of attunement, the intelligence of the nervous system, and the alchemy of being moved by what matters.
